I truly admire you Matt! You have such determination and passion to improve the way you feel about yourself. I really believe that this is your year! There are some key points that I want you to keep in mind as you make your way through this journey....

1. You are not alone. Talk to your friends and family and ask for their continuous support. Its always comforting to know they have your back and will help you every step of the way.

2. Don't put yourself down... EVER! Even if you fall off once in a while you will use that strength and determination to continue back on your weight loss journey.

3. Create a lifestyle of habit and BALANCE! It's all about moderation. You can allow yourself to indulge once in a while without over doing it. It's good to take those rest/cheat days to keep your sanity! lol

4. Keep a journal, write down everything you eat and every workout you do. I find it helpful to look back at what you've done in order to improve the new steps you take.

5. Lastly, make some goals for yourself. And I'm not just talking about how many pounds you would like to lose. I mean set out to do something you have never done before! Live outside your comfort zone and push yourself to some new extremes. Sign up for something you enjoy and can be held accountable for (eg. 5km race or a team sport).

The key to your success, happiness and prosperous health is in the palm of your hands Matt, don't be afraid to use it!

If you have any questions about training, don't hesitate to ask. We may not see each other or talk all the time, but I still consider you a dear friend and always will. :)
